I find acupuncture to be effective for pain in the foot, such as that caused by plantar fasciitis. Researchers in America found acupuncture to be so effective that they have suggested that for foot pain of more than three month's duration acupuncture should be a first line of treatment, and that surgery should not occur without first trying a course of acupuncture.
