Electro-acupuncture

Electro-acupuncture is a modern technique whereby two needles are connected via small clips to a machine which generates an electric current.  The electro-acupuncture machine can vary the output (intensity), waveform and frequency of the electrical current; different combinations have different clinical effects.  Whilst not an unpleasurable therapy I use it less these days, relying more on accurate needling of points and Low Intensity Light Therapy.  There a a few patients however for whom it can be a necessary and effective treatment.
